From 2016, the Effective Supervision workshop will be shortened to two hours and there will be more time than before for interaction.  The new workshop is complemented by a 30 minute online lecture by Dr Simon Edgar, (Director for Medical Education, NHS Lothian): http://sefce.net/video/ESL.mp4, which presents much of the core factual material that was previously in our three hour workshop.

This lecture provides key information about the roles and responsibilities of ‘Named Clinical Supervisors’ and ‘Named Educational Supervisors’ and how all those involved in postgraduate medical education in South East Scotland can access support.  The content of the lecture underpins the workshop activities.
