It is accredited by the Higher Education Academy. You should familiarise yourself with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) and the information about its purpose, because the Framework underpins a great deal of the programme. In particular, the:

Who this level is for
This level is suitable for you if you are a clinician who has several significant educational roles, and you want to develop advanced skills in clinical education.
What you must complete
- Curriculum Map > (Pick your role from the dropdown menu)
- 7 workshops/online modules (one from each of the Framework Areas 1-7)
- an online module in Equality and Diversity (eg LearnPro Online Foundation Equality and Diversity, or the eLearning for Healthcare Diversity, Equal Opportunities & Human Rights module)
- a teaching observation and feedback session with one of the CEP Tutors
- a Reflective Portfolio Assignment
What you will get
● a certificate of completion endorsed by your local health board, including recognition of you as a NHS Fife/Lothian/Borders/Forth Valley Clinical Educator
● eligibility to carry 20 SCQF credits at postgraduate level 11 towards the University of Edinburgh Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) or the MSc in Clinical Education (via Recognition of Prior Learning)
● entitlement to Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and membership of the Academy of Medical Educators. These entitle you to use the post-nominals AFHEA and MAcadMEd
